Group Shot, Everybody say cheese
The Sixth Annual Gala / Mardi Gras night was held on March 25, 2000 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Ontario, California.  The theme for the event was " Empowering our youth" "If not Now When?"  This was a different format than our previous Galas.

The Galas featured a night of gaming, dancing, the enjoyment of Jazz music by Harold Mason Quartet, and to top it off there was fine dining.  There were lots of prizes donate by many of the sponsors.  Almost everyone came away as a winner.

Concentration and fun at the craps Table

The purpose of the event each year is to network or build relationships with members of the community, as well raise money for the James Wesley Vines Foundation.  This is the arm of the James Wesley Vines Medical Society which gives scholarships to students in the health professions.

Blackjacks one of the hits of the evening
Follow-up conversations with all contacted were nothing short of spectacular.  This is the kind of event no one wants to miss in the year 2000 when the sixth annual event occurs.
