About The Participants
Charles A. Bibbs
–
In a continued
effort to lend support to important causes in his community, this
internationally known fine artist has assembled a group of artistic
giants to assist him in this latest effort. Well known for creating
vibrant and colorful imagery, Bibbs is also an entrepreneur and
philanthropist who devotes much of his time to preserving and
developing awareness of the visual arts. Utilizing two passions
close to his heart “art and jazz”, Bibbs hopes to make considerable
donations to non-profit organizations through this annual event.
Lending additional support to this year’s event, Bibbs has donated a
one of a kind art treasure for the Live Auction – a limited edition
print created by President Nelson Mandela in collaboration with
Bibbs. A native Californian, Bibbs has always believed that “we are
the keepers of our culture”, and as such, has spent much of his time
working towards developing a cohesive, energized African American
community.

and cultural enrichment in underserved communities; and that promote
the development and retention of African American physicians. The
Vines Society represents 125 African American physicians in the
Inland Empire and High Desert. It is a component of the National

Riverside
Art Museum
-
Renowned architect Julia Morgan built the historic structure that
houses the Riverside Art Museum (RAM) in 1929. Originally the
location of Riverside’s first YWCA (“a place for women designed by a
woman”), The Riverside Art Museum has since evolved into a primary
seat of culture for the Inland Empire. Currently, the Museum boasts
two spacious first floor galleries, two smaller second floor
galleries, one of which is a permanent print gallery, and a second
floor Mezzanine exhibition space. A Children's Gallery and studio
art classroom are also located on the second floor along with
administrative offices. Under the guidance of its new director
Daniel Foster, RAM is developing innovative outreach programs and
activities to ensure involvement of all the communities that
surround the museum. Construction has just been completed on an
elevator, located at the rear entrance, that allows disabled and
wheelchair bound guests to access each floor of the museum,
including the rooftop patio.
