Sweet Potato Pies

     Sydney's Sweet Potato Pies

2            9" Pyrex and pie shells
5 C        Cooked Yams (baked in shell at 400F for 1 hr.)
1/2         C Butter or Margarine (melted)
2   Cans  Carnation Sweet Condensed Milk
1 C         Brown Sugar
5             Eggs
1 T + 1 t Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Vanilla & Lemon Juice
1 t           Butter Flavor (Optional)
1/2 t        Salt
Preheat oven to 350F
Prepare pie shells
Blend the following: butter, yam, brown sugar, condensed milk, spices, vanilla, salt
Beat eggs and beat into the above mixture until smooth.
Pour into two 9" shells.
Bake 48 min. at 350F
(Check with round toothpick at the half way between the side and the center. If it comes out clean, the pies are done; if not, bake additional 3-5 min.)
