The University of California has worked diligently during the last
two weeks to
address the issues raised at the May 1 budget hearing regarding the
UC Riverside
Biomedical Sciences Program. Enclosed is a proposal for
reconfiguring the program
to meet the concerns of the campus and the community physicians who
spoke at the
hearing; the addendum to the proposal offers further clarifying
points.
We worked cooperatively with the community physicians to develop
this proposal
and hope you will agree that it is an appropriate resolution to the
issues raised.
