Start-Up Funding: 2002, The California
Endowment awarded the Foundation a generous start-up grant for the
purpose of the award "Health Work Force Diversity" was to diversity the
work force by providing financial assistance and educational
opportunities to African American students in the Inland Empire who
desire careers in the medical and health science professions.
The grant is administered by
the Foundation’s Board and component organization, the J. W. Vines
Medical Society. An organizational plan consisting of the
Foundation’s mission, vision, current and future goals is being
developed by Nunn Consulting, Inc., a Los Angeles based African-American
owned firm. |
